Why Volunteer?
Volunteers are a huge part of what makes Wiston Lodge possible. Across our grounds, events, and programmes, volunteers help us create memorable experiences for children, young people, families, and the wider community.

For young volunteers, Wiston offers the opportunity to gain valuable work experience in a supportive environment while building confidence, developing transferable skills, and learning alongside experienced staff. Many of our previous youth volunteers have gone on to careers in outdoor education and community-focused roles.

Adult volunteers bring skills, ideas, and enthusiasm that help us continue developing the Lodge and delivering opportunities for others. Since becoming an independent charity, volunteers have played an important role in shaping Wiston into what it is today.
